Hardware Support Engineer – PJ (Ref ID: 12427)
• Provide technical assistance and support to customers on hardware-related issues such as installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems, including identifying faulty components and performing repairs or replacements as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams, such as product development and quality assurance, to identify and resolve hardware-related issues.
• Conduct product testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement in hardware design and functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of hardware support requests, including documentation of all troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in hardware technology to provide knowledgeable and effective technical support to customers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware problems and ensure timely resolution of customer issues.
• Conducting product testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement in hardware design and functionality.
• Support deployment, imaging, installation, and configuration on an ad hoc basis
• Participating in the development of new hardware products and features by providing feedback and suggestions based on customer needs and trends in the industry.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of processes and procedures related to hardware support to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
• Diploma / Degree in Science and Engineering. Preferably in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical), Computer Science / Studies, Science & Technology, or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar field.
• Experience with retail stores, including Point of sale (POS), Self-Checkout Kiosk (SCO), and other related store-based applications and devices.
• Knowledge of hardware components and systems, including but not limited to computer hardware, servers, networking equipment, and storage devices.
• Hands-on experience with hardware or software installation/removal.
• Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and MS Products.
• Supervision experience to lead a project.
