「CLOSED」HOD Logistics & Purchasing – Kuantan (Ref ID: 12035)

・To propose and recommend appropriate policies and procedures related to Logistics, Purchasing, Warehousing and Distribution as and when necessary
・To supervise and oversee the planning of Purchase and Produce, price list and terms of purchase
・To maintain a list of accepted Vendors, records of purchase, price list and terms of purchase
・To update and renew Purchase Agreement with vendors as and when necessary
・To develop alternatives or additional service of supply for critical new materials
・To promote and maintain good relationship with vendors
・To interact with other Dept. On all matters
・To avoid wastage and obsolescence
・To oversee the preparation of annual purchase and budget in accordance to sales forecast
・To monitor and control distribution cost
・To provide continuous staff training
・To oversee order processing, distribution, on time delivery and customer service To continuously recommend and implement improvement programme to upgrade department’s efficiency and productivity.
・In charge of both KL and Kuantan Plant Logistics & Purchasing Department namely, Raw Materials & Finished Goods Planning and Forecasting, Imports, Exports Warehousing, Order Processing, Distribution, Sourcing, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Vendor Audit & Approval, Yearly cost Down Review and Expediting

・Degree in Business Management, Logistic & Warehousing, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
・15 – 20 years of working experience handling logistics for manufacturing environment
・5 – 10 years in Managerial roles
・Strong end-to-end logistics knowledge is a MUST (multi-country import / export, Incoterms, customs).
・Business acumen, strategic and forward-thinking mindset towards process improvement (via digitalization / transformation approach).
・Good knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience in Quality Management (QMS) System and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) System.
